Common Illess, Depression, and Acai

It is hard to ignore the hype over the acai (pronounced ah-cye-EE) berry. Dr. Nicolas Periconne has published a book on a few of the surprising nutrients inside of the acai. The book “Top Ten Superfoods” lists the acai among the top three super foods available to anyone. The lack of nutrients could be the reason for many common illnesses. Depression is one of the most common mental illnesses in America today. A lack of vitamins could easy cause a chemical imbalance, leading to depression and insomnia. The acai is chalked full of some of the most vital nutrients to the human body.

Maintaining a healthy body translates to keeping up with the bodies needs. A calcium deficiency would cause bones to snap or fracture easily. The lack of vitamin A could lead to cataract growth on the retinas of the eyes causing blindness. Symptoms of depression could be a lack of vitamin B, not providing enough energy to the mind and body. Any doctor would recommend exercise and more sleep before prescribing some sort of antidepressant. An insomniac would also be told to get more exercise before attempting to sleep. The acai berry contains all of these neglected nutrients and more.

  • The vitamins A, B1 , and D are found inside of the acai berry. Improving sight, with vitamin A and boosting energy levels with vitamin B to help imcrease a constant level of energy. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium to improve the strengh of bones and joints.
  • Omega 3 is known to prevent common cancer in the breast, colon and prostate. It also improves growth in young adults.
  • Antioxidants are one of the most over looked nutrients today. This special nutrient boosts the immune system and fights off many of the bodies radicals. Improving daily health and  encouraging the body to burn fat.
